National Hat Day and Middle School Lunch Fun

Tuesday was National Hat Day, so some of our middle school students celebrated by wearing hats to school. Friendships and fun go hand in hand at lunchtime!

4th/5th Grade Enjoy Pie-in-the-Face with Mrs. Cori

One of the benefits of being in Mrs. Cori’s class is the esteemed Class Cash that students can earn. They then “spend their cash” on prizes from the prize box and classroom rewards. The most expensive way to use your Class Cash is to spend it all on smashing a pie in Mrs. Cori’s face. Check out all the fun!

K-5 Students Explore Faith in Christ Through Devotional Games and Races

This week, our kindergartners through 5th graders had the chance to learn about faith in Christ through the stories of the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, Jairus’ daughter, and Lazarus. They were able to learn what it was like to trust and believe through a blindfold obstacle course, and they got to wrap Lazarus in a Lazarus Race.

Hereditary BINGO and DNA Creativity

Assembling DNA with candy and treats was a big hit with our K-5 students this week! They also played Hereditary BINGO.

8th Grade Physical Science Reviews, Research Projects, and Discipleship Presentations

The eighth-grade class has been working hard this week. In addition to writing essays for Mrs. Hyland’s class, they researched key questions for physical science and presented their findings about subjects such as the impact of gamma rays, how cell phones work, and the difference between digital and analog. They also reviewed for their physical science test by playing Jeopardy and, in discipleship, they summarized the book of Philippians by interviewing the apostle “Paul.”

Kindergarten and First-Grade Answers in the StoryDrive Lab

Our StoryDrive Lab was busy this week! The K/1 class learned all about video production while recording their answers to this question: If you could ask God ONE question, what would you ask Him?

Playground Fun

Even with the cold wind, students enjoyed getting some energy out after lunch on the playground.
