Our Very Own National Poetry Contest Top 10!

Congratulations to one of our second graders for placing top 10 in the nation for Creative Communication’s Fall 2022 contest. Her poem is titled “Racing Through Space.” Way to go!

Books to Honor Black History Contributions

Mrs. Allison read books to her class to celebrate the end of Black History Month (February) and teach students about some of the contributions that this community has made.

4th & 5th Grade Dance Party

A few of Mrs. Cori’s students pooled their class cash together to purchase the privilege of hosting a classroom dance party. Everyone had a blast!

Read Across America Day 2023

To celebrate all things reading, Mrs. Cori announced our Read-A-Thon winners from the February REACH challenge. The winning class for the most books read in total was 2nd grade! They’ll be getting a popcorn party as their prize. The top winners for each class were awarded book-related gifts for their hard work. Congratulations to all our winners.

2nd Grade Writing Roundtable

Our second-grade class is working on a realistic fiction unit, and they hosted a writing roundtable this week. Students take turns reading their stories, and they learn how to receive constructive feedback from their peers. What a great life skill!

Club Day #4: Art, Dogs, and Parakeets

Club Day was a hit with animals and art galore! Our Art Club students worked on individual canvases and then assembled them all into one art piece for the Arts Showcase. (Well done, students!) Then, for the Parakeet Club, students got to learn all about these fascinating birds who hail from Australia. And Dog Club learned about the benefits of having a dog — everything from keeping calm to keeping loneliness at bay.

8th Grade Presentations of Paul’s NT Letters

Our 8th-graders have been presenting what they have learned as they read Paul’s letters in the New Testament.

Arts Showcase 2023

The Arts Showcase was filled with talented performing and visual artists. Enjoy the performing arts HERE — a violinist, dancers, and singers. Thank you to everyone who participated!
