Discover Science Field Trip (K-5th)

Several students stayed after school on Tuesday for an in-school field trip with Discover Science. They used microscopes to explore different types of cells.

Science Bowl (K-5th)

Our kindergarteners through fifth graders prepared for the Science Bowl on Tuesday and then took part in it on Thursday this week. Everyone did an amazing job! Congratulations to the winning team. Well done!

April Rains Bring Indoor Lunch Fun

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade! Middle school classes made the best of indoor lunch this week due to heavy rain. Arm wrestling, Pictionary, Jenga, and other games were on the lunchtime agenda.

6th/7th Graders Play Games with K/1 Buddies

Mrs. Hyland bravely went between the 6th/7th and K/1 Buddies this week to play a devotional game where students had to work as a team to get as many bean bags as they could in the trash can (without hitting Mrs. Hyland in the process)!

8th/9th Grade StoryLab Assistants Hard at Work

Some of our eighth and ninth graders are working as StoryLab assistants this year, and they’ve been sharpening their skills this week by conducting an interview about spiritual formation with Mrs. Maher. Whether they were planning for the shoot and taking notes, shooting B roll, welcoming the “talent” (Mrs. Maher), praying together, shooting the video, or conducting the interview, their hard work has paid off. While skill-building, they are learning to work as a team and support Learnwell students, teachers, and staff.

Creative Story Sharing in 6th Grade

After learning from Pixar about the elements of storytelling, students in 6th grade wrote, edited, and shared their creative stories this week.

K-5th Graders Serve the School

Who says service has to be reserved for Service Week? Our K-5th graders spent this week serving teachers and staff. On Tuesday, they made cards and delivered them to staff members, and on Thursday, they took turns cleaning areas of common rooms and teacher classrooms that needed extra love. Thank you, students!
