Week 22: Let’s celebrate!

In This Edition: Let’s Celebrate!

We want to celebrate with you all that you and your students have completed in the tough winter months! So, do a little dance and pat yourselves on the back. In this edition, we will celebrate:

  • The Daddy Daughter Dance
  • Opportunities to Attend In-Person Field Trips
  • Winter Break (Simple Ways to Spend Time Together)
  • Middle School Students Train to Become Roman Gladiators

Daddy Daughter Dance 2022

We’ve heard from many of you that your daughters and their dads enjoyed this event immensely, and that makes us smile. We hope connections were made that build a strong foundation for your families and for the future. Here are some highlights of the evening.

Field Trip Opportunities

We love that our in-person field trip opportunities are back! It’s our sincere hope that you and your children will get the most from Learnwell’s March field trips. If you haven’t already registered, please see this week’s or last week’s school newsletter for the link to sign up! If you’d like to invite a friend, just send them this link: https://forms.gle/abDYyHfPfhYvzB3E8

You may wonder if it’s worth all the trouble to carpool, park, and make time for field trips. (We understand. We love flexible Fridays at home too.) It’s worth getting out of the house though! There are 3 main benefits — and a few specifics about how you can best prepare your child for the upcoming field trips: bit.ly/whyfieldtrips.

Winter Break: Let’s Celebrate!

We love a break here at Learnwell. But we know that five days of unstructured time can be a little rough on some kiddos. Here are a few fun ideas for ways to spend time together next week. Let us know if you try them! Just email us at info@learnwellcollective.org.

Everyday ways to spend time together:

Check out your local library’s activity calendar both for online activities and in-person ones:

Post Road Library (Forsyth)
Alpharetta Library (North Fulton)
John’s Creek (Ocee)

Try an at-home workout together. Here are places to start:

Kids yoga
Kids and parents workout under 15 minutes (with stuffies and dolls!)

Middle School Students Train to Become Roman Gladiators

Today, middle school students learned about what Roman gladiators had to go through; trust us: the Learnwell gladiator training regimen is easier! They designed their own gladiator school and learned some sword-fighting skills!
