This week, they read two stories by Keven Henkes, and they are beginning their Author Study packets. You can see the full video of Mrs. Van Beneden reading on our YouTube channel. (Links are below.)

Teacher Appreciation Week
While some schools are celebrating this next week (May 2-6), we chose to wait since our school has a few things going on next week. So please plan ahead for the week of May 9-13. (At-school days are May 10th and 12th.) We suggest getting together with others from your class to chip in on a gift card for your teacher. Just make sure to use our school login (see this week’s school newsletter) to access the Student Directory and send out a group text to other parents in your child’s class.
Here are the “favorites” questionnaires that our teachers filled out at the beginning of the year.
Kindergarten/First – Mrs. Jenny Nichols
Third – Mrs. Allison Van Beneden
Fourth/Fifth – Mrs. Cori Panyard
Language Arts – Middle School – Mrs. Leslie Hyland
