Club Day No. 2: Gerbils, Explosions, Trick Shots and Pumpkins

Learnwell students are so creative! From Gerbil Club and Science Explosion Club to Trick Shot Club and Art Club (pumpkin-themed), everyone had a wonderful time.

Hands-on Devotional Activities for K-5

This week, students learned about how small David was, but how significant God knew him to be. They got to play with snow as a reflection of how something that we see as small can have such a huge impact in God’s economy. Also, they got to try their hand at toppling Goliath with “stones” (paper) like David did.

2nd graders recite poetry

This week, our second grade class learned about repetition and sensory imagery in poems. They did a wonderful job reading poetry!

3rd grade works hard in math

Our third grade students are hard at work learning new math skills!

Storytelling on camera for 4th and 5th grade

Our 4th graders and 5th graders had the chance to learn about the Learnwell StoryLab this week. Then, in 5th grade, they returned to the lab for some hands-on recording in concert with their storytelling unit. Everyone did so well!

K-5 makes stained glass to learn about church in the Middle Ages

This week our K-5th graders got a chance to make their own “stained glass” windows, as they would have had in the Middle Ages.

7th graders’ “A Wrinkle In Time” projects

This week, some of our 7th graders showed off their projects to culminate the end of “A Wrinkle in Time” by Madeleine L’Engle.

8th graders present Newton’s Law projects and practice physical science formulas

Our 8th grade students are learning a wide variety of information in physical science these last few weeks. Here, a few students presented projects on Newton’s Law, and others are working on formulaic applications.
