K-5 Students Colored Creation in Devotions

Learing about all of God’s attributes is fun as students find out He is their Creator! They colored a mural of His creation together this week.

Academics Snapshot – Multiple Grades

Whether it’s hearing about God’s love, learning algebraic formulas, or understanding the connection between Greek mythology and constellations, Learnwell students are active participants in the learning process. Here’s a snapshot of multiple grades learning together this week.

2nd Grade Peer Editing, Rounding, Playground Time and a Publishing Party

Several of our elementary school students are learning the importance of editing your own writing and how helpful it is to get feedback from a friend on their revisions. Second graders helped each other edit and learn how to round large numbers this week.

Spanish After-School Tuesday Electives

Our first round of electives kicked off this week! Speaking Spanish is a helpful skill in all sorts of circumstances, and these students learned some of the basics this week.

The next elective is art! Learnwell students can sign up through Tuesday, September 26 for the art elective.

K-5 Catapults into Final Days of Force and Motion

Our K-5 students made their own catapults this week, and to finish out the unit on force and motion, they heard from Mrs. Julie about how simple machines helped her recover from surgery and how the medical field uses simple machines to give patients a better recovery rate.

Devotional ABCs and Club Period Primer with Mrs. Cori

In kindergarten through fifth grade, students are learning about the ABC attributes of God. Each letter is assigned one of His attributes for the students to remember. Toward the end of devotional time, Mrs. Cori also explained the Club Periods this year. For more details, parents, see the Week 4 school newsletter. Proposal forms are due Tues., Sept. 12. We look forward to hearing all of your students’ creative ideas!

First Grade Encouragement Wins

Our first graders added to their pom-pom stash this week when they received encouragement from Mrs. Kayla about their excellent behavior during group time. Way to go, first grade!

Middle and High School Welcome Wagon

Our 6th-9th graders love to welcome each other in the mornings. They’ve taken their welcoming role military-style (with a twist). As their classmates come through the halls, they salute them and shout “Banana!” as a fun welcome. (We can’t make these things up.) 🙂
