Fun Friday Service at Meals by Grace

A crew of Learnwell students and their parents helped fill 200 food bags for families in need last Friday at Meals by Grace’s food pantry. Thank you for your time and commitment.

AFT Shenanigans From Last Week

4th & 5th Grade Spelling Fun and Children’s Book Revisions

Mrs. Cori’s classes are always up to something fun! This week, it was spelling practice and book revisions.

8th Grade Field Trip to Warm Springs Historical Site

The 8th-graders traveled to Warm Springs last week for a field trip as they continue their tour through Georgia history this year.

6th/7th Grade Host Fundraiser Christmas Bazaar

Thank you to everyone who crafted and baked for the Christmas Bazaar, and thank you to all the student and teacher shoppers! The 6th and 7th graders did such a fabulous job choosing a charity and raising money for the Northside NICU babies. In total, they raised a whopping $651.25 to support neonatal care at Northside Atlanta! The gift will be given to the NICU in January so that students can participate.

Advent Lesson in K-5 Teaches God Is Love

K-5 students took turns shopping at the Christmas Bazaar, playing a game about God’s unending love, and lighting the final Advent candle: love. The game was one that couldn’t be won (it’s never-ending), and eventually students got tired. This symbolism helped students learn that, unlike people — who eventually weary, get discouraged, or give up — God’s love never gives up on us. What a powerful truth to remember at this time of year.

Christmas Party Fun!

The highlight of the students’ day week was the shortened week and the parties at the end of the school day! Here are a few photos from all the fun.
