Play and Socialization: Part of the Learning Process

As students enjoy lunch and playground time together, they learn from one another the art of a good conversation, taking turns, preferring others, and so many wonderful life lessons.

Reading in Kindergarten

Math in 3rd Grade

Grammar and Story Elements in 4th and 5th

Paying close attention to what they read, students continued learning about the elements of a good story and how to apply grammar rules to writing.

Language Arts and Meeting Friends in New Places in 6th Grade

Our 6th-graders discussed what they are reading and were able to do a Zoom call with one of our Learnwell Navigator students who lives abroad.

6th-7th Graders Buddy Up with Kindergarteners

Our 6th and 7th-grade students are serving as “buddies” in Kindergarten! They will be encouraging the Kindergarten students and taking part in special projects together. This week, they had a quick get-to-know-you time and the 6th-graders spent some devotional time making cards for their K friends.

Middle School Lunch

With such mild, beautiful weather, lunch outside is a no-brainer for our middle school students!

Animal Habitats in K-5

This is the last week of studying animal biomes. Today’s habitat mobile activity combined with the upcoming optional zoo field trip are fun ways to end the science unit! (It’s not too late to join us at the zoo – see the newsletter for details.)
