Second and Third Graders Performing Readers Theater
On Tuesday this week, our second and third-grade classes joined forces to help us envision what it might have been like to hear the Christmas story from the animals’ perspective. Their performance was excellent, funny, and showcased superior reading skills. Here you can watch the entire performance in four parts.
I. Introduction
II. Part One: Animals Trying to Fall Asleep
III. Part Two: They See A Star in the Sky
IV. Part Three: The King Is Born
Middle School Escape Room
Our middle school students were able to “break out” of social studies Tuesday to enjoy an Around-the-World-themed Christmas escape room. Enjoy watching them discover clues along the way.
Christmas Festivities
Several classes had shared what they’ve been working on the last few weeks with special guests — parents. Here are some videos of the middle school authors’ tea, the K/1 class performing elements of the Christmas story through sign language and a flannel board, and the 2nd/3rd-grade class performing a revised version of their readers’ theater.
