Mandalorian Fun Friday

Last Friday, Learnwell students gathered for a Mandalorian Math Escape Room as part of our Fun Friday electives program.

K/1 Makes Predictions for Groundhog Day

Our kindergarten and first-grade students learned about Groundhog Day and made predictions about what will happen on Feb. 2 this year. Ask your child what his or her prediction was.

6th/7th Carbon Cycle Activity

Our sixth and seventh graders learned about the carbon cycle this week with a get-out-of-your-seats activity.

The Cell Cycle and Mitochondria in 3rd-5th Grade

Our third through fifth grade students learned about mitochondria and the cell cycle this week by doing some creative projects. What yummy science activities!

StoryLab Assistants Hard at Work

Students often see our StoryLab assistants behind the camera while filming new projects. But this week, they’re learning about the editing process.

Devotional Time in K-5th and 6th/7th

Students at all grade levels learn about who God is, what the Bible says about Him and how we fit into His story. This week, our K-5 students learned about Him as the God who completes what He starts, and our 6th/7th graders continued their exploration of Amos by making plumblines.

Biology Dissections in 8th and 9th Grade

Biology students dissected sheep hearts this week.

9th Grade Retreat Photos

Our ninth graders went on a retreat last weekend, where all came away encouraged and refreshed.

Service Week: The Sandwich Project & School Cleanup

Service week was full of… service! Students learned that they can serve anywhere: at home, at school, or in partnership with others in the community. They served with The Sandwich Project to give food to households who are food insecure; they served with Foundation for Hospital Art (photos next week); and they served by putting some extra man power into cleaning up often-used surfaces around the school. Way to go, students.

Black American History Project Presentations (6th Grade)

All of our students are learning about Black History this month, and our 6th graders presented projects about historically famous Black Americans this week.
