Unexpected At-Home Day

We had an unexpected school-at-home day this week on Tuesday (without the fun of a typical snow day!). Some classes met online for an activity, like Ms. Allison’s 3rd grade class, who got together for a fun online math activity.

Middle Schoolers Worked Hard for a Great Cause

In December, Learnwell’s 6th and 7th grade Life Skills and Discipleship class contributed homemade gifts and treats for a Christmas market. Younger students were able to come and shop for Christmas presents for their family, and the class raised almost $700. Last week, a representative from the NICU at Northside Hospital came to accept their gift.

Field Trip to Learn About US History

Right now, students in kindergarten through 7th grade are studying early US history. Families headed to the Cobb Youth Museum and took part in bringing history to life as students (and at least one parent!) took part in reenacting important events.

2nd Grade: Publishing Party Day

Our second grade students celebrated the publication of their latest book this week. Way to go!

Living vs. Nonliving: K-2nd Science

On Thursday, our kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders participated in a scavenger hunt to find living and non-living items. So fun!

What Time Is It, First Grade?

First graders did a great job working on telling the time.

Scientific Research for 3rd-5th Grade Students

On Thursday, older elementary students learned about the parts of a microscope and examined several items up close.
