K/1 & 6th/7th Buddies Celebrate at an End-of-Year Breakfast

Our K/1 and 6/7 Buddies celebrated their final meeting of the year with a sweet breakfast together.

2nd Grade Mystery Reader and Book Character Reports

Our second-grade Mystery Reader this week was one of the students’ dads, and all of the second graders dressed up as book characters from some of their favorite books.

Field Day 2023 Digital Scrapbook

Field Day last week was SUPER FUN. We hope that your family enjoyed it and that your students felt that they were seen and known. Here’s a scrapbook for you to look through with your child.

8th Grade One-Act Plays

Our 8th graders have been hard at work the last few weeks developing one-act plays, à la Shakespeare.

The first one-act play was on Tuesday this week, so we didn’t get a video. Here are videos of the other two plays.

Club Day: Dog Club and Gardening Club

Our final Club Day of the year was a huge hit. The students organized themselves into two groups. One group met a student’s dog, enjoyed making yarn art in the colors of the dog, and read about dogs. The other group got their hands dirty at a gardening club.

Student Ambassadors Announce Uniforms for Fall 2023

Our 2023-2024 Student Ambassadors have been selected, and this week they took on their first challenge: announcing the school’s new uniform policy! They took to the “streets” (aka sidewalk) at carpool one afternoon to let parents know that uniforms are coming.

4th & 5th Grade Career Presentations for the 2nd/3rd Graders

Our fourth and fifth-grade classes have been working for weeks on their career project essays and accompanying presentations. This week they did a wonderful job presenting their research to the second and third-grade classes. Here are photos of all the presentations.:

4th & 5th Grade Career Presentations

6th & 7th Perfecting Catapults and Girls’ Coffee Break

This week our sixth and seventh graders enjoyed perfecting the catapults they made last week, and the girls made an early-morning coffee run before school started.

K-5 Spelling Bee

Our K-5th graders did a great job on the spelling bee!

8th Grade Honoring Time

Dr. Shipman and Mrs. Hyland honored our graduating 8th graders during a special time of blessing and prayer. First, Dr. Shipman honored the graduates with a few words about who they are and how God has wired them; next, Mrs. Hyland and the entire middle school student body prayed for the 8th-grade graduates. Finally, Mrs. Hyland sent them out with a blessing over them.

Find all the videos here.

K/1 Mystery Reader and Special Time of Blessing

The K/1 class had a surprise Mystery Reader on the last day of school: Mrs. Megan, who has been out on maternity leave. They were thrilled to see her. Mrs. Julie and Mrs. Stephanie sent the K/1 classes off with a special blessing too.

Garden Harvesting

Just in time for summer, the school garden’s radishes, herbs, and lettuce were ripe for the picking. So our volunteers from second and third grade grabbed some delicious veggies to take home to their parents.

End-of-Year Fun (All Grades)

Every grade had some sort of party or send-off activity on the last day of school. Here are a few photos to show all the fun.

Have a great summer!
