“You are a marvel. You are unique. In all the years that have passed, there has never been another child like you. Your legs, your arms, your clever fingers, the way you move. You may become a Shakespeare, a Michelangelo, a Beethoven. You have the capacity for anything.”
– Henry David Thoreau

8th Grade Georgia History Students Go to Savannah
As they reach various milestones within the Georgia History curriculum, students in 8th grade are invited to attend optional field trips throughout the year. The biggest one is a trip to Savannah, where they got the chance to view sites related to what they’ve studied. They participated in a trolley tour, toured Wormsloe State Historic Site, walked along the Savannah River, went to Bonaventure Cemetery, and even got a few hours of sunshine on Tybee Island.
