Week 8: Rocks, Minerals, Clubs, and Recess

Outside Time

We continue to enjoy our outside recess time, as evidenced by the 4th/5th graders jumping rope downhill this week. This weather is such a gift!

Rocks & Minerals

On Tuesday, Mrs. Cori led the entire school in a few engaging activities related to this week’s science unit: studying rocks and minerals.

First, all grades worked together to answer some tough Jeopardy-style questions about rocks.

Second, they had fun with a variety of rock experiments.

Club Period #2

On Thurs., Oct. 14, three students bravely led clubs:

One student led a fall scavenger hunt.

Another led a book enthusiast’s club.

Still another student led a crafting club where students made Dream Catchers.
