Playground Time for K-5

With spring weather, students are enjoying their playground time so much!

This or That Devotional Game

Our K-5 students played “This or That” to review a story they learned of Jesus and His closest friends in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Bottle People from the Renaissance Period

Several elementary school students made historical figures last week while learning about the Renaissance period. They also helped out the environment by reusing plastic bottles for their creations.

Branches of Government

This week, students in K-5 learned about different branches of the Federal Government.

6th/7th Grade Seder

To celebrate the Passover tradition, which points to the Ultimate Rescuer — Jesus — our sixth and seventh graders participated in a Seder.

Buddies Celebrate Spring Together

The K/1 and 6th/7th Grade Buddies stuck together for Duck Duck Goose and duckling art. They have become fast friends, even stopping to help tie a shoe every now and then.

K/1 Class Interviews Parents/Grandparents in the StoryDrive Lab and Celebrates Mrs. Megan

Our K/1 classes had a busy week! After interviewing parents and grandparents in the StoryDrive Lab on Tuesday, they held a small party for Mrs. Megan since she is expecting her second child soon and will not be at school during the end-of-year festivities in May. Thank you to the parents who sent in contributions for Mrs. Megan’s favorite snacks and drinks, asked your students to make her a card, and helped purchase a few needs for Baby Lewallen.

3rd-5th Graders Plant Radishes in the Garden

Students in grades 3-5 were in the garden this week. They painted rocks to border the garden and planted radishes. Much hands-on learning took place too as they applied measuring and temperature skills to the planting efforts.

8th Graders Interview Faith Mentors in the StoryDrive Lab

The 8th-grade class learned how to produce in the StoryLab this week as they worked together on a project for their discipleship class. They chose people whom they respect and who have a close relationship with the Lord. They asked them: Have you recognized God’s voice in your life? How?
