Eighth Grade Graduation Time
It’s that season: graduation time! Our 8th-graders participated in a graduation ceremony with commendations from their teachers as they’ll head into high school later this year. High school students in ninth and tenth grade gave the 8th graders advice about staying true to who they are and remembering how loved they are by the Lord. First Graders Publish Nonfiction Books
Our first graders are officially published authors! They had to visit the library, collect information from books, and write a nonfiction book on an animal they chose. Congratulations, authors!

Birthday Scavenger Hunt Helps Students Celebrate Dr. Shipman
Last week was Dr. Shipman’s birthday, so students participated in a schoolwide scavenger hunt to find hidden photos and then pinned them to the board outside her office. It was a great way to burn some energy during brain breaks.
Elementary School Discipleship Focuses on Love
Students in K-5th grade completed the collage to depict the body of Christ and drew symbols of love and kindness to illustrate how we share love with one another.
Mrs. Cori’s Students Celebrate Math All Day & ELA All Day
Every year, Mrs. Cori’s students experience a “math all day” and “ELA all day” day of learning by reviewing important math and language arts concepts. Some of the activities included students reviewing multiplication tables by teaching second graders how to jump a number line to multiply and reading their books by flashlight under forts in Mrs. Cori’s classroom.
8th Graders Debate “To Kill A Mockingbird”
Eighth-grade students participated in team debates on whether Harper Lee’s novel should be taught in schools. Each side made compelling arguments.
Middle School Students Enjoy Recess Time

Second Graders Enjoy Math All Day & a Birthday Celebration
In addition to reviewing math concepts with the fifth graders, our second graders got to celebrate the birthday of one of their classmates last week.
Fifth Graders Harvest Sugar Snap Peas in Learnwell Garden
Mrs. Cori’s fifth graders got to see the fruit of their February labor last week when they harvested the sugar snap peas they’d planted in the winter. They loved the sweet taste of them and even fed some to the class pet, Buddy the Bearded Dragon.
7th Graders Work Together on History Escape Room
Reviewing what you learned in history has never been so fun! Students worked together to find their way out of an escape room by answering questions related to what they’ve been learning.
