Spring Weather in February? Let’s Write Outside
Some of our elementary school students took advantage of the sunshine and did their writing outside!

4th Graders Present Book Projects
Fourth-graders shared about the novels they’ve been reading! We loved the variety of their presentations.

6th/7th Graders Dissect Frogs in Science
Learning about the biological makeup of animals included frog dissections last week!

Guest Speakers Share About Careers in Health & Geology
Last week, our K-5th grade students heard from two guest speakers: arborist Jim Weiss from Forsyth County and a Learnwell parent who is also a nutritionist. We’re so grateful to be able to expose our young learners to fields that may catapult their interest in a related career someday!

High School Gathering: Hiking, Boba Tea & Arcade Games
Some of our high schoolers met up outside of school this week to hike at a local park, play some arcade games and enjoy Boba tea together. We love that our students enjoy seeing each other outside of class and have so many shared interests.

Geology Career Presentations in Kindergarten & First Grade
Our youngest students presented to their 7th-grade Buddies the research they’ve been conducting about geology-related careers. Seeing how encouraging the 7th graders were with their feedback was a delight. Then, even K/1 peers got in on the encouragement by providing their own positive feedback after each presentation. Many Buddies were also on hand to help their younger peers with the presentations. We are so thankful for the 7th graders’ dedication and faithfulness. The K/1 students’ confidence and connection to their Buddies has increased tremendously.

Father Daughter Dance Celebrates Family Connections
Last weekend, dads and daughters danced the night away at the 4th Annual Learnwell Father Daughter Dance. Between learning from a ballroom dance teacher to making special pens for their dads, daughters had a chance to delight in their dads and enjoy the company of friends. Oh yes, and they enjoyed plenty of sweet treats too!

Discipleship Games Make Learning about Jesus Fun
Our K-5th graders played discipleship games last week as they learned about the Bible.

K-5th Grade Read-A-Thon Helps Students Set Goals
K-5th graders are setting ambitious reading goals for the month of February! We love that it’s paired with rewards and contributions to the school’s Annual Fund. Please help us celebrate our young readers by participating and cheering them on! (See the latest school newsletter for ways to encourage and support them.)
